The American Heart Association recognized Newton-Wellesley Hospital as a recipient of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus Achievement Award. The award recognizes Newton-Wellesley’s commitment and success in implementing excellent care for stroke patients, according to evidence-based guidelines. Get With The Guidelines (GWTG) is the premier hospital-based quality improvement program for the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association. It empowers healthcare provider teams to consistently treat heart and stroke patients according to the most up-to-date guidelines. The Division of Neurology is proud to be part of the stroke service at NWH.
